), have you ever wondered what it would be like for a girl to be a boy?
For the next six weeks I’m going to take on a role that most
view as the man’s job; the asker. Girls usually prefer to be the asked but this
has led to too many lonely Saturday nights with an empty ice cream carton.
What would it be like to always have a date? I’m going to find out. Each week I
will ask out a different guy and plan a fun (and most likely very cheap) date.
Now would be the right time to gasp in horror. Blaspheme!
But maybe it’s not. What about 3 Nephi 14:12 which says "Therefore, all things
whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, do ye even so to them, for this
is the law and the prophets". It is okay for girls to make the first move. If I
don’t make the first move then I will be the one staring at the bottom of the
bowl wondering why I’m still single.
One more thing. I’m scared to death. So don’t think I’m
doing this because I’m boy crazy or just really outgoing; I’m not. I’m usually
the anti-social roommate who won’t even go to ward date night. If you’re
